About Gayle Martin

Gayle Homes Martin began her career as a graphic designer. In 2005, she published her first book, Anna’s Kitchen: a Compilation of Historic WWII Recipes You Can Create in Your Kitchen Today. It also included historic WWII posters and stories of the homefront.

In 2006 Gayle switched genres. She teamed with Five Star Publications, Inc. to publish her award-winning Luke and Jenny Series of historical novels for young readers. The first book, Gunfight at the O.K. Corral: Luke and Jenny Visit Tombstone, was an Honorary Mention at the 2007 Hollywood Book Festival. The second book, Billy the Kid and the Lincoln County War: a Luke and Jenny Adventure, was a finalist in the 2007 Indie Book Awards of Excellence. The final book in the series, Riding with the James Gang: a Luke and Jenny Adventure, was published in 2010.

In 2011 Gayle once again switched genres. She began writing romance novels as Marina Martindale. That same year she also founded her own publishing company, Good Oak Press, LLC.

Gayle released an updated edition of Anna’s Kitchen in 2016. Rosie’s Riveting Recipes, includes additional WWII ration recipes along with more stories of the American homefront. She also published updated editions of her Luke and Jenny books.

Gayle currently resides in Tucson, Arizona. In her spare time she enjoys music, photography and traveling.
